Robert Gail Harrell, 76, of San Clemente, Calif., died of a heart attack Thursday, Jan. 29 at home.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, Feb. 3 at Lesneski Mortuary Chapel in San Clemente.

Robert Harrell was born in Madison County, May 3, 1921 to Edmund and Millie Harrell. He was a 1939 graduate of Winterset High School and was a veteran of WW II, serving with distinction in the U.S. Coast Guard. He married Virginia Straw, who preceded him in death in 1985. In 1986, he married Alice Rae Hogbin. He was the owner of Life Center Health Food Store in San Juan Capistrano, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, one brother and one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Alice; two sons, Steven Harrell of Boise, Idaho and Paul Harrell of Huntington Beach, Calif.; one daughter, Barbara Pfeuffer of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; three stepsons, Robert Hogbin of Yorba Linda, Calif., Richard Hogbin of Souoth Lake Tahoe, Nev., and Randall Hogbin of Mission Viejo, Calif.; two sister, Margaret Eckhardt of Knoxville and Shirley Lowe of Des Moines; and seven grandchildren.
