Beulah Tuttle James Hansel, 82, of Mesa, Ariz. died of cancer March 31, 1999 at Springdale Care Center in Mesa.

A memorial service was held Monday, April 5, in Mesa with another memorial service to be held at 11 a.m. Saturday April 10, at the First Baptist Church in Winterset with Pastor John Shaull officiating. Burial of the cremains will follow at Elmwood Cemetery at Minburn.

Beulah Hansel was born May 31, 1916 in Dallas County to Frank and Bessie Bever. She graduated from Dallas Center High School in 1934. She had been a resident of Winterset since 1952 and was a nurse's aide at Madison County Memorial Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1977. In recent years, Beulah had lived in Mesa and was a member of the Broadway Christian Church in Mesa. She was also a member of the Leisure World Barbershop Belles and the First Baptist Church of Winterset.

She is survived by one son, William Ronald Tuttle (wife Norma) of Webster, N.Y.; four daughters, Karen Miller (husband Ed) of Winterset, Nadine Paulsen (husband Don) of Mesa, Jean Johnson (husband Tom) of Enumclaw, Wash., and Donna Hann of McGregor; two sisters, Esther and Leona Wenger (husband Kerman) both of St. Ansgar; 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchldren.
