Hannon Dies At Age 84

Delbert D. Hannon died Thursday, May 21, in Long Beach, Calif. at the age of 84. Services were held Friday, May 29 at Hill of Zion Christian Church in Orient, Rev. Catherine Wood officiating.

Born in Adair county on July 6, 1896, he was the son of Charles L. Hannon and Elizabeth King.

On Dec. 19, 1914, he married Eliza B. Abbott in Creston. Mrs. Hannon passed away on Jan. 30, 1980.

Mr. Hannon was a farmer by occupation retiring in 1960.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Eliza; and an infant daughter.

Survivors include three sons, Charles and Dale of Long Beach and Robert of Pinole, Calif.; three daughters, Helen Foster, Bernita Taylor and Doris Pinkard of Long Beach; two brothers, Don of Winterset and Lloyd of Atlantic; one sister, Nellie Maase of Albuquerque, N.M.; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Burial was at Hill of Zion Cemetery.
