Death of H. C. Hanson

Mrs. H. C. Hanson's death occurred on Sunday, March 2, following an operation for appendicitis, which took place on Friday in the Nevada sanitarium. She was apparently recovering in a satisfactory manner when the end came suddenly.

Mrs. Hanson leaves beside her husband; two young sons, Cecil and Carl; her mother, Mrs. Hoyt and three sisters. Burial took place Tuesday, the services being conducted by Elder A. R. Ogden of Nevada at the Adventist church.

The Hansons, who live four miles west of Winterset, will be sustained by the sympathy of their neighbors and friends in their bereavement.

Mrs. Chris Hanson

Idella M. Hoyt was born Nov. 11, 1874 near Jefferson, Iowa and died at Nevada, Iowa, following an operation March 2d, being 44 years, 3 months and 21 days of age.

She was joined in marriage to Chris Hanson, Dec. 1, 1897 at Chillicothe, Mo. She is survived by the husband, two sons, Dale and Cecil; the father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Hoyt of Winterset; two brothers, Asa and Saml. of Havilland, Minn.; four sisters; Mrs. Stella Jackson of Terrill, Ia.; Mrs. Stella Moore of Peru, Iowa; Mrs. Elizabeth Coon of Houghton, Mich.; Mrs. Anna Daniel of Spencer, Iowa.

Mrs. Hanson was a true wife, a loving mother and an affectionate daughter, loved and respected by all who knew her. She was ever ready to give her own life in loving ministry to the sick and needy. Before death came she expressed a perfect trust and resignation to her Savior, a willingness to lay down life’s burdens and responsibilities. At the age of sixteen she joined the Adventist church, of which she remained a faithful member until her death.

Funeral services were conducted by Elder A. R. Ogden of Nevada, Iowa, president of the Iowa conference of Seventh Day Adventists of the Adventist church, on Tuesday March 4th at 1 o’clock. Interment made in Rock City cemetery.
