Jack Hammans, 76, of Lorimor, died April 13, 1995 of a heart ailment at the Des Moines General Hospital in Des Moines. A memorial service was held at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset on April 17. The Rev. David Bauer officiated the services and burial was at the Lorimor Cemetery.
He was born in Madison County on Sept. 20, 1918 to Ralph James and Sybil Eleanor (Leutzinger) Hammans. He married Martha Fosher on Aug. 3, 1946 in Winterset. He was a retired farmer and had been a lifetime resident in the county.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter.
Surviving relatives include his wife; one son, Paul Hammans and wife Deborah of Houston, Texas; and two grandchildren.
