MURL HAMILTON DIES AT 91 YEARS

Life-Time Resident of This Community Died Last Saturday

Murl B. Hamilton, a life-time resident of Winterset, died Saturday, Nov. 3, at Veterans' hospital in Des Moines. He was 71 years of age.

Mr. Hamilton was born in this county Aug. 4, 1891, a son of Benjamin and Laura Keeler Hamilton. During his active life he was employed as a laborer. He was a veteran of World War I and a member of Green Rogers post, American Legion at Winterset.

He was married Aug. 11, 1917, to Helen Young of Winterset.

Surviving are three sons, Archie, Burton and Murl Jr.; two daughters, Mrs. Velma Templeton and Mrs. Lillian Simerson, all of Des Moines; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother, Earl Hamilton and a sister Mrs. Hazel Brown, both of Denver, Colorado.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Collins Funeral home. Burial was made in the Primitive Baptist cemetery with military honors by Green-Rogers post, American Legion of Winterset.
