Funeral services were held Last Saturday, March 16, 1974, for Vera A. Welshhons, a Winterset native. Mrs. Welshhons died at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines on Thursday, March 14 at the age of 73.
Mrs. Welshhons was born in Madison County on March 24, 1900, the daughter of George and Sarah Moore Howard. She was married to William O. Welshhons, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by one brother, John Howard of Winterset. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 16 at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with Pastor G. O. Wangberg officiating. Burial was in Winterset Cemetery.
