Wednesday, January 26, 1966FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN CALIFORNIA
Frank H. Ham, a retired farmer from Madison county, died last Thursday, Jan. 20, at Burbank, Calif. He had retired from farming here and moved to California in 1942.
Mr. Ham was 81 years of age at his death. He was born April 27, 1884, in Audubon county, a son of Thomas and Ann Arthur Ham. He was married June 30, 1907 in Abilene, Kan., to Sybil F. Adams. Her death occurred in 1921.
He was married a second time, at Burbank, on Sept. 5, 1945, to Amy McGarvey, who preceded him in death in 1957.
He had been a resident of Madison county from 1909 until 1942.
Surviving are three sons, Emory Ham of Boise, Ida., Elmer Ham of Long Beach, Calif., and Elwood Ham of Macksburg; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; five brothers, James Ham of Solon, Will Ham of Newton, Ralph and Jesse Ham of Winterset and Tom Ham of Peru and three sisters, Mrs. Emma Edwards of Mission, Kan., Mrs. Mabel Nelson of Peru, and Mrs. Blanche Livingston of Orient.
Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. William E. Bowles, pastor of the First Christian church here. Burial was to be made in the Peru cemetery.
