Frank E. Welch, well-known Madison county farmer and a life-time resident of this community, died Thursday, March 26, 1964, at his home in Scott Township. His death came suddenly, as result of a heart attack. He was 79 years of age.
Mr. Welch was born in Scott township June 25, 1884, a son of Sanson and Elizabeth Hann Welch. His life-time was spent in farming.
He was married in Winterset Oct. 7, 1908, to Nettie Floy, who survives him.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two sons, Raymond Welch of Belle Plaine and Hugh Welch of Winterset; a daughter, Mrs. Dallas Crabbs of Winterset; five granddaughters; four great grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Cora Schoenenberger of Winterset.
Funeral services were held Monday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Paul Hann of Des Moines. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
