Thomas Dennis Davis, 56 year-old resident of near Peru, died at the Winterset hospital, Sunday, a victim of pneumonia.

Mr. Davis had made his home recently on a farm near Peru. He was well known in Winterset, having been in business here for many years, operating the North Side billiard parlor for some time. For the 10 years preceeding March 1, he had operated a restaurant in Clarksville, Iowa.

Mr. Davis was born at Pleasantville on May 19, 1879. He is survived by his widow, and two sons, Miles of Winterset and Louie at home. He also leaves his mother, Mrs. Robert Reed of Des Moines and three sisters, Mrs. George Millican and Mrs. Jess Acklin of Des Moines, and Mrs. Harry Haskell of Waverly.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Tidrick funeral home in Winterset, with the Rev. H. L. Olmstead of the Church of Christ in charge. Burial was made at Pleasantville.
