Wednesday, May 8, 1963MRS. CLARA HAINES DIED HERE SUNDAY
Mrs. Clara E. Haines of Winterset died at a local nursing home Sunday, May 5, at the age of 74 years.
Mrs. Haines had been living here the last three years. She was a native of Denver, Colo., where she was born Sept. 17, 1888, a daughter of Charles and Mary Klein Banzert.
She was married at Denver on June 28, 1908, to Ernest B. Haines. His death occurred in 1961.
She was a member of the Methodist church.
She is survived by four children, Mrs. Helen Imboden of Earlham, Ernest Haines of Uniontown, O., Mrs. Alice Couch of Adel, and Mrs. Virginia Harvey of Waukee; 12 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a brother, Charles Banzert and a sister, Mrs. Lena Neff, both of Ft. Lupton, Colo.
Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Walter A. Samp of the Methodist church. Burial was to be made in the Winterset cemetery.
