Thursday, April 9, 1936Mrs. Otis Alexander, well-known Union township woman, died at her home there on Tuesday of last week, at the age of 75 years.
Mrs. Alexander was the former Lucy Ann Walker, and was born in Lee township on January 9, 1861. She was the daughter of Ira and Lucy Ann Walker, who came to this county as settlers in 1854.
In 1895 she was married to Otis Alexander, who died six years ago. They were the parents of three children, all of whom survive. They are Alvin and Jessie Alexander of Winterset and Lavonne Robison of Maxwell.
She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Agnes Crumbaker of Winterset; a brother, Seth T. Walker of Bevington, and a grandson, Myles Alexander. Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Mrs. Alexander had been a member of the United Brethren church in Jefferson township since early in life.
Funeral services were held last Thursday from the Ramsey-Richards funeral home in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. E. A. Elliott of Des Moines. Burial was made in the Jefferson cemetery.
