Cecil Ober Hadley, Stuart

Cecil Ober Hadley, 88, died of respiratory failure Nov. 10, 1998 at the Community Care Center in Stuart.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 14 at the First United Methodist Church in Dexter with the Revs. Kathy Sides and Robert Farr officiating. Burial was at Bear Creek Cemetery near Dexter.

Ober Haley was born April 14, 1910 on the family farm near Redfield to Charles E. and Grace (Harris) Hadley. A life-long resident of Dexter, he farmed with his brother John until they retired in 1983. Ober and his sister Helen moved to the Dexter retirement apartments in 1988, where they lived until the fall of 1997 when they both moved to the care center in Stuart.

He was preceded in life by two brothers and one sister.

He is survived by a son, Charles Hadley (wife Katherine) of Colorado Springs, Colo; one sister, Helen Hadley of Dexter; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Kuhn Funeral Home in Dexter.
