Hazel Hackley, Winterset

Hazel M. Hackley, 88, of Winterset, died Oct. 23, 2002, of pneumonia at West Bridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Graveside memorial services were held Sat., Oct. 26 at Lorimor Cemetery.

Hazel Hackley was born Aug. 14, 1914 to John and Myrtle (Handley) McCants. She graduated from Winterset High School. In 1938, she married Franklin Hackley in Missouri. She worked as a beautician for Younkers in Des Moines. She later moved to St. Louis, Mo., working as a beautician. She returned to Winterset in 1986.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. A niece and nephew survive.
