Death of W. H. Guthrie

The death of W. H. Guthrie of Chicago, who lived here and at Tileville from 1898 to 1905, took place on Dec. 24th, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Woods of Geneseo, Ill. Mr. Guthrie would have been 92 years old in February.

He is survived by Mrs. Guthrie, four daughters and two sons. Burial took place Wednesday in Geneseo, where the family had lived for years.

Mr. Guthrie was a man of unusual strength of character, greatly respected by the many friends made during his residence in Madison county.
