MRS. EVA GUBSER DIED SUNDAY AT EARLHAM

Mrs. Eva L. Gubser, a well-known resident of Earlham, died at her home there Sunday afternoon. Death resulted from a heart attack. Her body was found by her son, Dr. Darwin Gubser of Earlham.

Mrs. Gubser was 72 years of age. She had been under treatment for a heart condition but her death came unexpectedly.

Mrs. Gubser's husband, a widely known Earlham veterinarian, died many years ago. In addition to the son, Dr. Darwin Gubser of Earlham, she leaves two granddaughters, Sherry and Darcy.

Funeral services will be held Thursday from the Earlham Presbyterian church, with the Rev. Delbert Welty in charge. Burial will be made in the Earlham cemetery.

Services Thursday For Mrs. Eva Gubser

Mrs. Eva Gubser 72, died suddenly at her home Sunday evening.

She was found by her son, Dr. D. E. Gubser, after friends became alarmed when she did not answer her phone.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. at the Presbyterian church. Rev. Delbert Welty is in charge.

Music will be by Mrs. Fred Fry, organist, and Mrs. Alan Arends, soloist.

Casket bearers are: Merlyn Frey, Ralph Erb, Francis Mapes, Robert Hunter, Franklin Junkin and Herbert Patience.

Burial will be in the Earlham cemetery.

She is survived by her son, Dr. D. E. Gubser, two granddaughters, Sherry and Darcy Gubser. Her husband, Dr. N. E. Gubser, preceded her in death in 1945. Her obituary will be printed next week.

Eva L. Gubser, daughter of Sylvanus Hall and Ella Williams was born on December 21, 1889 at Lacona, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Dr. N. E. Gubser on July 5, 1911, and lived in Earlham since that time. To this union was born one son, Darwin Edward.

Eva Gubser was an active member of the Earlham Presbyterian Church, as well as many other civic groups and clubs, including the first Earlham Memorial Library Board. In another ----- she would have been a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved -----, and thus happily added ----many friends.

Eva Gubser passed away suddenly at her home on March 4. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters, two brothers and one grandson. She is survived by her son, two granddaughters, Sherry Jean and Darcy Jane of Earlham; three sisters, Mrs. Guy Williams of Long Beach, California; Mrs. ---- Beeler of Pompano Beach, Fla.; Mrs. Marjorie Lucky of -----, Indiana; and many other relatives and friends.
