F. Delos Grout of Winterset, a retired farmer who had lived nearly all his life in Madison county, died Monday, Aug. 12, at Memorial hospital here. He was 75 years of age.
Mr. Grout was born in this county Dec. 11, 1892, a son of George and Luella Compton Grout. He was married March 1, 1916, to Beulah Blosser of Patterson. She survives him.
He was a member of the First United Methodist church of Winterset.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Philip D. Grout of Newton; two grandchildren; a brother, Ray Grout of Winterset; and a sister, Mrs. Elsie Alexander of Winterset.
Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday afternoon from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Everett K. Burham, pastor of the First United Methodist church here. Burial was to be made in the Winterset cemetery.
