Funeral services were held from the Keswick Methodist Church Monday afternoon, March 7th for Lucy Gross.
Miss Gross, 82, of Keswick, retired school teacher, died Friday at Keokuk County Hospital at Sigourney. She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Etta Betz of Sigourney.
Miss Gross taught for 55 years in Iowa schools, first in the county and after receiving a bachelor's degree from the State College of Iowa, in town and city schools. She taught in the Winterset schools, both north and south ward, from 1911 to June 1942.
