Roscoe Grose, Winterset

Roscoe Grose, 78, of Winterset, a retired farmer, died of septic shock Sunday, April 13, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Services were held Wednesday, April 16, at Worthington United Methodist Church near Earlham. Burial was at Worthington Cemetery.

Mr. Grose was born Bone Gap, Ill., and lived in Madison County most of his life. He was a member of Worthington United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Ida; a son, Ronald of Macksburg; two daughters, Marilyn Bown of Winterset and Sandra Brown of Macksburg; three brothers, Benny of Badger, Bert of Mount Ayr and Paul of Des Moines; two sisters, Dorothy Martins of Overland Park, Kan., and Nellie Roberts of Mablevale, Ark.; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
