RICHARD R. GRISWOLD DIES AT NEVADA

Richard R. Griswold, a native of Macksburg, died Friday, June 23 at Nevada. He was 87 years of age.

Mr. Griswold was a son of Alvin and Mary Kivett Griswold. He was married at Winterset in 1912 to Sylvia M. McLarnand.

His active life was spent in farming, until his retirement in 1954. He was affiliated with the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Surviving are four daughters, Cleatiace Chickering of Walla Walla, Wash., Mrs. Veda Pullen of Hathaway Pines, Calif., Mrs. Reva Ford of Perry Village, Kan., and Mrs. Mary Hoyt of Nevada; eight grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday June 25 from the Seventh Day Adventist church in Nevada, with the pastor, A. H. Gerst, officiating. Grave-side services and burial were held at the Kivett cemetery near Macksburg.
