Winterset Madisonian - May 29, 1985

Funeral services for William Riley Terry of Winterset were held Tuesday, May 28, at 1:30 p.m. from Collins Funeral home.

Mr. Terry died May 25 at Bethesda Care Center here. He was 78 years of age.

A son of Lewis Elmer and Stella Jane Jones Terry, he was born in Madison county on May 23, 1907. A self-employed carpenter, he lived in Madison county occasionally throughout his life, and permanently since 1977.

On May 10, 1977, he was married to Clara Eunice Peach at Waynesville, Mo.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Iver of Des Moines and Lewis of Laalle, Colorado; four daughters, Susan Dealing of Colorado, Joanne Clark of Washington, June Trafter of Des Moines, and N_ne Dobbins of Oregon; three step-children, Bonnie Parks, Bob Palmer and Laddie Palmer, all of Colorado; two sisters, Isabel Davis of Lorimor and Velma Wilhour; and numerous grandchildren.

Officiating at the funeral Tuesday afternoon was Jeff Johnson, with burial in Winterset cemetery.
