George A. "Hhap" Whinghter, 77, of Cincinnati, Ohio, died of cancer April 7, 2001.
Funeral services were held Friday, April 13, at the Shiloh United Methodist Church in Cincinnati with the Rev. William Patterson officiating. Interment was in Arlington Memorial Gardens in Cincinnati.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and a granddaughter.
He is survived by his wife, Dawn Wilson Whinghter (a former Winterset resident), of Cincinnati; a daughter, Denise Regester (husband Greg); a son, Joe Whinghter (wife Sally); two brothers-in-law, Richard Wilson (wife Carolyn Farr-Wilson) of Winterset and Arnold Wilson of Sun City, Ariz.; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Jamison of Sun City, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Vitt, Stermer and Anderson Funeral Home in Cincinnati.
