Services Friday For Mrs. Gray

Funeral services for Maude E. Gray, 92, were held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, February 2 at the First Christian Church. Burial was in the Winterset Cemetery with Rev. David Livingston and Pastor John Long officiating. Mrs. Gray who resided at Villa West, died Wednesday, January 31, at the Madison County Memorial Hospital.

The daughter of Nelson and Almira Aylia Jackson, Mrs. Gray was born on November 2, 1886 in Adair County. On August 12, 1903, she was married to Cash Gray at Winterset and they were the parents of three children who survive.

Mrs. Gray, who was a housewife and a lifelong resident here, attended the Christian Church and was a member of the Lincoln Township Community Club.

Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, eight brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her three sons, Dale of Indianola; Lester of Winterset and Elbert of Crestline, Calif.; two sisters, Mabel Eudaley of Washington and Alta White of Des Moines; eight grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
