Mary (Black) Gray, 88, of Indianola, died June 6, 1994 at the Indianola Good Samaritan Center East. Funeral services are June 9, 1994 at 1 p.m. at the Chapel of Faith Church in Indianola. Burial will be at the Union Chapel Cemetery in Madison County. Visitation will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. with family visitation 6:30-8:30 p.m.
She was born in Winterset and was a homemaker living on a farm in Madison County all of her adult life. She was a member of the Chapel of Faith Church in Indianola.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Glen Black.
Surviving relatives include husband, Dale Gray of Indianola; two daughters, Jaquelynn Carey of Winterset, and Rosemary Ham of Warsaw, Mo.; one step-daughter, JoAnn Hogneke of Indianola; three sons, Chancey Black of Winterset, Charles Strong of Brighton, Colo., and Richard Strong of Houston, Texas; 21 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; and 5 step-great-grandchildren.
