DOROTHY ALEXANDER WESSELL, Former Resident Dies
In Florida

Dorothy Alexander Wessell of Wildwood, Fla., formerly of Winterset, died Tuesday, Sep. 2, 1980 at her home in Wildwood at the age of 71. She had been seriously ill the last eight months.

She lived in Winterset until she was married on Nov. 20, 1927. The couple went to Wisconsin and lived there until Mr. Wessell retired. They then moved to Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Alexander.

Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Leesburg, Fla.

They had no children. She is survived by her husband, Leonard, of Wildwood; also one brother, Claude Alexander of Aitkin, Minn.; and six sisters, Aletha Duarak of Kansas City, Mo.; Ola Stout of Collins, Iowa; Gladys Nelson of Huxley, Iowa; Emily Finney-Patrick of Des Moines; Launa McCammond of Chula Vista, Calif.; and Betty Jean Meyers of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 5. Burial was in Leesburg Cemetery.
