MARJORIE F. WESCOTT, Waverly

Marjorie F. Wescott, 64, of Waverly died of natural causes Feb. 12, 2001, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo.

Funeral serices will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at St. John Lutheran Church in Waverly with Pastor Larry Sipe officiating. Burial will be held at Harlington Cemetery in Waverly.

Marjor Wescott was born March 21, 1936, to Benjamin Lee and Bessie (Davis) Jellings of Randalia. A 1954 graduate of Randalia High School, she attended Upper Iowa University in Fayette for two years. She married Harley G. Wescott on Oct. 26, 1958, at the Methodist Church in Randalia. Marjorie had been employed by the accounting offices of Schield Bantam (Terex) in Waverly., Globe Machinery and Supply in Cedar Rapids and the office of Dr.
Carstensen/Brunkhorst in Waverly. In 1979, she became involved in the family clothing business. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Waverly, where she had been a member of the Dorcas Society, and a former member of the Waverly Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband; a son, David D. Wescott of Waverly; a daughter, Andrea Wilharm (friend Mitch Platte) of Denver, Iowa; a brother, Dean Jellings (wife Marilyn) of Traer; a sister, Betty Gordon of Winterset; and two grandchildren.
