April 1960CHARLES W. GRAHAM DIES IN CALIFORNIA
Charles W. Graham, formerly of Winterset, died April 28 in Glendale, Calif., where he had lived since 1920. He was 89 years of age.
Mr. Graham was born in Douglas township, Oct. 25, 1870, a son of Joseph and Ellen Graham. As a young man he lived in Winterset, and worked here as a shoe salesman at the Warren Smith Shoe store.
He was married in California in 1922 to Ann Tanfield, who survives him. In addition he leaves two sisters, Mrs. Mabel Payton of Hollywood, Calif., and Mrs. Myrtle Becker of Fortuna, Calif.; and two brothers, George Graham of Wenatchee, Wash., and Lee Graham of Winterset.
Funeral services were held April 30 with burial in Forest Lawn cemetery in Glendale.
