Winterset Madisonian - March 3, 1971

John L. King, a life-long resident of Madison county, died Friday, Feb. 26, in his home at Truro. He was 73 years of age.

Mr. King was a son of Thomas and Carrie King, and was born April 4, 1898. He was employed as a laborer during his active life.

Nearest surviving relatives are two sisters, Mrs. Viola Christophel of Alpha, Minn., and Mrs. Irma McNeley of Bull Shoals, Ark.

Funeral services were held this Tuesday from the Kale Funeral home in Truro, conducted by the Rev. Richard Hempenius. Burial was made in the Hartman cemetery.
