Mrs. Florence L. Arnold of St. Charles died last Wednesday, Feb. 24, at her home in St. Charles. She was 86 years of age.

Mrs. Arnold was a native of Adams county, but had lived in the St. Charles community for most of her life. She was the former Florence Lottie McKellip, daughter of Franklin and Phoebe Boylan McKellip and was born July 12, 1884. She was married Dec. 30, 1903, to Melvin S. Arnold, who preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Methodist church in Truro.

Nearest surviving relatives are nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Truro Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Richard Hempenius. Burial was made in Young cemetery near Truro.

Services Held For F. L. Arnold

Funeral services were held for Florence Lottie Arnold on Saturday, February 27, at the Methodist Church in Truro, Iowa. The 2 p.m. services were conducted by the Rev. Richard Hempenius. Interment was at the Young Cemetery at Truro.

Florence Lottie Arnold was born July 12, 1884, in Union Township which is located in Adams County, Iowa. She was the daughter of Franklin McKellip and Phoebe Boylen McKellip. She died Wednesday, February 24, 1971 at her home in St. Charles where she had lived all her life. She was affiliated with the Methodist Church in Truro and had attended the Madison County School systems. On December 30, 1903, she married Melvin S. Arnold. No children were born to this union.

Survivors include two nieces and nephews, Art Morris of Des Moines; Hettie Morris of Truro; and Carol Hircock of Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; and one sister, Gertrude.
