Death Mrs. W. H. Goodman

Mrs. W. H. Goodman died at her home in Winterset, Friday morning, December 16th, after a short illness with pleural pneumonia. Mrs. Goodman who was 63 years of age, was ill for only nine days.

Mrs. Goodman was the former Miss Ida May Albright, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Albright. She was born in Urbana, Illinois on November 1, 1869. Her marriage to William H. Goodman took place August 16, 1887 and they were the parents of four sons and three daughters, Nettie Burd died November 27, 1928. The husband and children surviving are Jess, William, Harry, Mrs. Iva Wooten, Edward and Mrs. Flora Allen. She also leaves grandchildren.

The Goodmans spent the early years of their married life in Urbana, Illinois, moving to Webster City in 1901. In 1907 they moved to Dows and for the past twelve years, have resided in Winterset.

When a girl, Mrs. Goodman joined the Baptist church but at Dows she transferred her membership to the Methodist church.

The Rev. A. P. Keast conducted her funeral services which were held at the Methodist church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock and burial was in the Winterset cemetery.
