ELLA KING Dies At 71 Years of Age

Ella Margaret King of Winterset, a life-long resident of Madison county, died Sunday, Oct. 13, 1968, at Memorial hospital here, after two years of failing health. She was 71 years of age.

Miss King was born in Lee township and lived most of her life there. She was a daughter of William and Julia Maher King. During her active life she was engaged in domestic work, and at the Mercy hospital and Still hospital in Des Moines.

In recent years she had made her home in Winterset.

She was an active member of St. Patrick's Catholic parish in the Irish settlement during most of her life, and of St. Joseph's church in Winterset since moving here.

She is survived by a brother, James King, and a sister, Julia King, both of Winterset, and a sister, Mary King of Cumming.

The rosary was recited for Miss King Tuesday evening at the Collins Funeral home in Winterset.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning from St. Joseph's Catholic church in Winterset with the pastor, the V. Rev. Msgr. John W. Higgins, officiating at the requiem Mass. Burial was made in St. Patrick's cemetery in Lee township.
