Worth Henry Goering, Lacona

Services for Worth Henry Goering, 78, a longtime resident of rural St. Charles who died Feb. 16 at Lacona, were held Feb. 18 at the St. John Lutheran Church in Melcher with the Rev. J. Max Davis officiating. Burial was at the St. Charles Cemetery.

Born Jan. 14, 1905, he was the son of Grant and Florence Goering. He was married June 1, 1941 to Mabel Young. He was engaged in farming most of his life.

Survivors include his sister, Ethel Feight of Lacona, three brothers, Leonard and Burl, both of East Moline, Ill., and Howard of Melcher.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel, a brother, Donald.
