Jessie Goering, Truro

Funeral services were held Friday, March 26, at St. Charles United Methodist Church for Jessie Mable Goering of Truro, who died March 23 at Madison County Memorial Hospital. She was 75 years old.

Born April 29, 1906, near Truro, she was the daughter of Stephen and Grace Dowler Young.

She was educated in Truro schools and later received a B.A. Degree at Iowa State Teachers College.

On June 1, 1941, she married Worth Goering in Indianola.

Mrs. Goering taught school for many years at Dallas, Hazelton and Brandon. She belonged to the Women's Organization of Farm Bureau and attended Truro Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother; a nephew, Leland Young of Martensdale; and a great-nephew, Greg Reynolds.

Survivors include her husband, Worth of Truro, a brother, Lloyd Young of Martensdale; two nieces, Jean Reynolds of Martensdale and Louise Shaw of Indianola; and two nephews, Leo Young of Council Bluffs and Leonard Young of Burbank, Calif.

Officiating at the funeral were Rev. Chet Waterman of St. Charles and Rev. Leo Young of Council Bluffs. Burial was in St. Charles Cemetery.
