Funeral Services Held on Monday With Burial in Winterset Cemetery
Dean Glenn, a well-known farmer in this community for nearly half a century, died Saturday, Feb. 4, at his farm just northeast of Winterset. He was 67 years of age.
Willis Dean Glenn was a native of South Dakota, where he was born at Vermillion on March 13, 1893, a son of Thomas and Ella Collar Glenn.
For 45 years he had lived on the farm just northeast of Winterset, before moving into town a few years ago.
He was a member of the First Baptist church at Winterset.
Mr. Glenn was married in Des Moines on April 12, 1917, to Lulu Cummins, who survives him. He also leaves a daughter, Mrs. John Armstrong of Winterset; and two grandsons, Larry and Gary Armstrong.
Funeral services were held Monday from the Richard Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Robert A. Owens, pastor of the Winterset Christian church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
