CATHERINE MAHER Dies at 85 Years

Catherine Maher, a resident of Lee township most of her life, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 1963, in Des Moines. She had made her home in Des Moines for the last 18 years. She was 85 years of age.

Miss Maher is survived by a sister, Mrs. Ella Meisner, and a brother, William Maher, both of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Friday from St. Ambrose Cathedral in Des Moines, with burial at St. Patrick's cemetery in Lee township.

BEVINGTON

Miss Katherine Maher, 84, who had been ill with cancer about a year, died at her home Tuesday night in Des Moines. Miss Maher was born in Madison county, where she lived until 18 years ago when she moved to Des Moines.

Surviving are a brother, William J. Maher and a sister, Mrs. Ella. M. Meisner, both of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held on Friday morning at 10 o'clock from St. Ambrose Cathedral of which Miss Maher was a member. She was also a member of the Catholic Friendship club and St. Anthony's Guild. Burial was in St. Patrick's cemetery in the Irish settlement.
