EDWARD E. WASSON, Mitchellville

Services for Edward E. Wasson, 77, a native of Winterset who died Nov. 10, 1982 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, were held at 10 a.m. Saaturday at the Winterset Cemetery. The Rev. Kenneth Helmers officiated at graveside rites.

Mr. Wasson was born May 9, 1905 in Winterset, the son of George Jehile and Iva Mae Boyles Wasson. He married Blanche Calfee Oct. 26, 1925 at Clarinda and spent most of his life as an interior decorator. He had retired in 1969 and lived 13 years in Mitchellville.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Mike and Scott, both of Des Moines; a daughter, Earlene Miller and husband, William, of Des Moines; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Frank and Jay.
