Charles Hiriam "Dimey" Gilbert, 91, Winterset, who died at theWinterset Care Center North Feb. 8 were held Monday, Feb. 11 at the Watts-Lindsay Chapel with the Rev. Gary Worsham officiating. Burial was at the Barney Cemetery.

Mr. Gilbert was born Feb. 5, 1894 in Madison County, the son of Harris and Ellen Palmer Gilbert. He grew up in Barney and was married to Hazel B. Simpson in Winterset on June 29, 1915. The couple farmed in Clarke County and later moved to the Peru area.

Survivors include sisters, Grace Woods of Osceola and Verda Harper of Lorimor.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, three sisters and a brother.
