Hazel Gilbert Services Held

Hazel B. Gilbert of Peru died Thursday, March 26, in Winterset where she had resided for the past three years. Mrs. Gilbert was 83 years of age.

Born on April 11, 1897, in Calhoun County, Iowa, she was the daughter of Noah and Emma Sterling Simpson. On June29, 1915, she married Charles H. Gilbert in Winterset.

Mrs. Gilbert was a member of the Barney Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband. Preceding her in death were her parents, brother, Orlie and sister, Beryl.

Services were held Monday afternoon, March 30 at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Richardson officiating. Burial was at Barney Cemetery.
