Robert Gideon, Jr., 40, of Minneapolis died Sept. 13, 1994 at the North Memorial Medical center in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. Memorial services were held Sept. 19, 1994 at the Grace Baptist Church in Winterset. The Rev. Rob Porter of St. Charles officiated. The body was cremated.
He was born March 31, 1954 in Fairfield to Robert and Phyllis (Pickerell) Gideon. He graduated from Winterset High School in 1972. He attended Faith Baptist College in Ankeny and Marysville, Missouri. He married Rhonna Uyenishi in Broomfield, Colo., in July 22, 1978. He was a former school treacher in the Dallas Center and Interstate 35 School Districts. He was also in the restaurant business. He was most currently teaching school at the Sacred Heart School in Robbinsdale, Minn.
He was preceded in death by one sister.
Surviving relatives include his wife; his parents; two sister, Sheila Gideon of St. Charles and Pam Shannon and husband, Dell of Osceola; one brother, James and wife Sally of Oelwein; grandmother Goldie Gideon of Keosauqua and three nieces.
Memorial contributions will go to the missionary work in Mexico City, Mexico, directed by Dan and Petty Whitcher. Those contributions may be directed to the family.
