Wednesday, May 3, 1961Eddie J. Trautwein of Macksburg died Tuesday, May 2, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. He was 70 years of age.
Mr. Trautwein was a life-time resident of Madison county except for four years during which he homesteaded in Montana. His life was spent in farming, and as a painter.
He was born in this county Jan. 23, 1891, a son of David and Nellie Johnson Trautwein. He was married Oct. 17, 1946, to Tresa Clement. Her death occurred in 1959.
Nearest surviving relatives are a stepson, Milo Houston of Worthington, Minn.; and a sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Wallace of Apple Valley, Calif.
Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2:00 p.m. from the Macksburg Methodist church in charge of the Rev. Robert A. Damon of Winterset and the Rev. Donald D. Frank of Macksburg. Burial will be made in the Moon cemetery.
