Funeral services were held Jan. 13 for Ralph A. Giddings, a former Winterset resident who died Jan. 9 in California after several months of failing health. He was 86 years old.
Mr. Giddings was born March 2, 1895 at Purdy, Mo. He was a retired watchmaker and veteran of World Wars I and II.
Besides his wife, Eva, he is survived by 2 sons, Eugene Giddings of Ft. Jones, Calif., and Robert Giddings or Orangevale, Calif.; 3 sisters, Marjorie Periman and Mabel Haag of Summers, Ark., and Jessie Stanley of Gaston, Ore.; 2 brothers, Herbert Giddings of Ft. Jones and Frank Giddings of Wasburn, Mo.; and 4 grandchildren.
Burial was at Ft. Jones Cemetery.
