Services for William A. Dippold, 96, of rural Booneville, who died of a heart attack on May 22 at Veterans Administration Medical Center, were held Saturday at Trinity Luthern Church near Van Meter. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Dippold was born near Des Moines and lived in the Booneville area most of his life. He was a retired farmer and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Booneville American Legion. He was a board member of the Booneville Co-op and was director of Lee Township School. He was a World War I veteran.
Survivors include a daughter, Beverly Forret, and a son, William O., both of Booneville; a sister, Elizabeth Lane in California; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was born Sept. 25, 1888, the son of Frederick and Anna Dippold. On Aug. 25, 1927 in Des Moines, he was married to Edith Roach.
Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, three brothers, three sisters and a granddaughter.
