PETE WHITE Of Murray Dies

Emmett (Pete) Whtie, 66, of Murray died Dec. 16, 1978, at Veterans Hospital of Des Moines.

His funeral was held Dec. 18th at 1:30 p.m. at the Watts-Lindsay funeral home of Murray with Randy Allison officiating. Burial was in the Murray cemetery.

White was born Sept. 14, 1912, in Winterset to Allen Ethern and Hulda Marie Bernau White. He was married on April 22, 1963, in Omaha to Idema O. Ries, who survives. He spent most of his life in the Winterset and Des Moines areas and moved to Murray in 1975. He worked as a truck driver. He was a veteran of World War II, and was a member of the Murray American Legion Post No. 405.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Marvin (Leora) Keller of Murray, Mrs. David (Christine) Baker of Des Moines; two sons, Paul Blaser of Polk City and Bernard Blaser of Bloomington, Ill.; 11 grandchilden and one great-grandchild; and a sister, Mrs. Fred (Lorena) Smith of Carlisle.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
