Arlouine Charlotte Hoskins, 84, of Deer Park, Texas, died March 23, 2005, at Bayshore Medical Center in Pasadena, Texas.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 2, at the St. Charles Parish Church with the Rev. Darold Snow officiating. Services were also performed by Model Chapter 174 of the Order of Eastern Star. Burial was at St. Charles Cemetery.
Arlouine Hoskins was born July 12, 1920, to George Dewey and Hazel Morris (Archer) Smith of St. Charles. She attended Madison County schools, graduating from St. Charles High School. On July 29, 1939, she was united in marriage to Deane Frank Hoskins in Bethany, Mo. Arlouine was a teacher previous to her marriage. She spent most of her life in St. Charles, moving to Deer Park three and one-half years ago. She was a member of the St. Charles Parish Church, United Methodist Women, St. Charles Garden Club and a 50-year member of Model Chapter 174 of the Order of Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Linda Fernandez; a grandson, Christopher Read; a brother, Franklin Smith, and a sister, Joyce Brideson.
She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Chemin of Deer Park, Texas, Janet Rice of West Des Moines and Karen Spahr of Oskaloosa; one son, Michael Hoskins of Des Moines; and eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Kale Funeral Homes of Osceola and Truro.
