Bessie Garrison Funeral Held

Funeral services for Bessie M. Garrison of Indianola were held December 10 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial at the Penn Center Cemetery in Madison County. Mrs. Garrison died Saturday, December 8 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines at the age of 92.

Born on July 8, 1887 at Eunice, Mo., she was married to William Garrison on November 25, 1906, who preceded her in death in 1975. Mrs. Garrison had lived in Warren County for more than 50 years and had resided in Indianola since 1957.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ruby Choate of Houston, Mo., Mrs. Delpha King of Prole and Mrs. Ellaca Hypes of Indianola; 12 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Cora Fox of Jamaica, Ia.
