MRS. F. A. GARRETSON DIES IN MONTANA

Mrs. F. A. Garretson, formerly a well-known resident of Winterset, died Tuesday, July 30, at Kalispell, Mont. She was 87 years of age.

Mrs. Garretson was the former Annette Perkins, daughter of Wesley and Louisa Perkins. She was born in Winterset Nov. 19, 1875 and spent most of her life here. As a young woman, she served as a school teacher here.

She was married in Winterset, Sept. 13, 1896 to F. A. Garretson. They made their home here until 1947, when they moved to Whitefish, Mont. Her husband died there that some year.

She was a member of the Rebekah lodge, Order of Eastern Star, Woman's Relief corps, the Baptist church, and Baptist White Cross and the Winterset Woman's club.

Surviving are a son, Earl Garretson of Whitefish; a grandson and two sisters, Mrs. Eva Minnick of San Jose, Calif., and Mrs. George Schultz of Reardon, Wash.

Funeral services were held last Thursday from the Catron chapel in Whitefish, conducted by the Rev. Ralph Werner, pastor of the First Baptist Church and with Eastern Star ritual. Burial was made in the Whitefish cemetery.
