Paul M. White, a distinguished descendant of a pioneer Madison County family, died recently in Sacramento, California.
He was the son of Dr. Paul A. White and Alma Robbins White of Davenport, Iowa, and a grandson of James Madison and Thankful Alma Robbins of Winterset.
A graduate of Iowa State College in architectural engineering he left his mark on the architecture of the Los Angeles community - the array of school buildings of Santa Monica - the Community Church of Westwood, are monuments to his life's work.
He contributed outstanding service t the State of California and to Orange County, and served for many years in a managerical capacity with the Collins Radio Corporation of Newport Beach, before his retirement.
He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Paul White of Davenport, by his wife, Mary, two sons, Dennis and Michael of Los Angeles, four grandchildren and his sisters, Patricia Barry and Priscilla Dunn, of Los Angeles.
His ashes are being flown to Winterset for interment in the family plot of Winterset Cemetery.
