LUDWIG AUGUST NEHRING, Winterset

Services for Ludwig August Nehring, 94, a resident of the Winterset Care Center North, who died Dec. 10, 1983, were held Tuesday, Dec. 13 at the Immaculate Conception Church at St. Marys with the Rev. John Madigan, the Rev. John Richter and Sister JoAnne Talarico officiating. Burial was at the St. Marys Cemetery.

Born in Des Moines on Sept. 27, 1889, he was the son of Carl and Augusta Raschke Nehring. He lived most of his life on a farm near St. Marys until moving to St. Charles Manor in 1978.

On Nov. 14, 1914 he married Nellie Simpson who died in 1924. On May 25, 1926 he married Rose Wiedmann, who died Mar. 3, 1980.

Survivors include his daughter, Isabel Nehring of St. Charles; sons, Carl and wife Pat of St. Charles, and Rich and Edith of Des Moines; three grandsons and two great grandchildren.
