Howard Harrison Landers, son of Perry H. and Edna Landers, was born at Patterson, Oct. 25, 1908 and departed this life at Winterset, Feb. 24, 1922, at the age of 13 years, 3 months and 29 days.

He was stricken with acute appendicitis and was operated upon, but was too weak to survive the shock. He was a patient little sufferer to the end.

He leaves to mourn his loss, father and mother, one brother, Kenneth; three sisters: Ruth, Doris and Faye; two grandmothers, Mrs. Fayette Taylor and Mrs. Elizabeth Haynes; also a great grandmother and great grandfather; several aunts and uncles and a host of schoolmates and friends.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Conner at Union Chapel church on Feb. 26, with interment in the cemetery nearby.
