CHAS. KAY DIED LAST WEDNESDAY

Former Patterson Resident Buried in Montpelier Cemetery

Charles Kay, a former resident of the Patterson community, died last Wednesday, May 10, near Norwalk, He was 58 years of age.

Mr. Kay was a son of Rueben and Mary Kay, and was born in Polk county Aug. 1, 1891. He was married June 22, 1925, to Jessie Hope of St. Charles. They were the parents of one son.

Surviving are his wife; the son, Kenneth C. Hope of Winterset; a brother, Ernest Kay of Patterson; and three sisters, Mabel Kay of Norwalk, Mrs. Jessie Anderson of Des Moines, and Mrs. Edna Robinson of Winterset.

Funeral services were held here Saturday from the Richards Funeral home, in charge of the Rev. Loren Hall. Burial was made in the Montpelier cemetery at Patterson.
